Record of Ureteral Stent System Implantation Using Balloon Ureteral Dilator Technology

Trial Hospital Surgery Record
Trial Hospital: North Hospital
Patient Information: Female, 73 years old
Preoperative Condition: Left terminal stenosis with an indwelling Ureteral Stent System; no angiography was performed. The patient planned to estimate the length of the stenosis via rigid endoscopy after tube removal and then place the stent.
Intraoperative Procedures:
First, lithotripsy was performed on the patient's bladder stones. After stone removal, a stent was indwelled.
The original plan was to attempt dilation with a 14F Percutaneous Nephrostomy Set. However, due to the minor degree of stenosis, forced dilation might cause damage, so the plan was adjusted.
The Balloon Ureteral Dilator visualization technology was adopted to perform secondary dilation on the stenotic segment, lock the stenotic position, and establish a channel. The convenience of the endoscopic instrument was recognized during the operation.
The delivery system was inserted along the guide wire, and the stent was successfully deployed. After stent placement, an additional Ureteral Stent was inserted for double insurance.
